Our Projects
LAS DOS LUNAS
The side of a mountain in Roca Llisa was turned into a natural garden acting as a barrier between neighbours. Natural stone walls were installed to create planting terraces where numerous species of evergreen shrubs and trees were planted to achieve perfect privacy.
A difficult angled terrain with over 20m of height difference between the boundary walls top and bottom. Around the house a tropical jungle atmosphere with Saccharum and Strelitzia. Numerous varieties of double and triple Palm Trees some as high as 7m. All lifted into place by crane. This luxury villa is topped by the most wonderful roof terrace where potted plants are used to great effect to make a homely and relaxing space making the most of the full views to Formentera and the surrounding countryside.
VILLA CAP MARTINET
This spectacular new build house in Cap Martinet is very urban by design. A small compact garden that is maximizing the available space and minimalizing the maintenance. The open cliff top position gives a great opportunity for flexible movement of leaves of different shapes, sizes and colours. Uniform planting of Stipa Tenuissima to make a green moving carpet. Yucca Rostrate and Agave Attenuata for the pots with additional large groups of Strelitzia Augusta to give a tropical touch. On the south side of the house is a large open terrace, however on the north side a tranquil grassed area in the shade for those long summer afternoons when an open air siesta is the only answer. Subtle additional floor lighting along with the uplighting for the specimen olive trees makes for a very tranquil urban space for evenings.
CAN POMA
This luxury cliff top mansion was given a complete modernization with a full garden redesign. An extension of the house itself and the main terrace made the focal point of the beautiful it’s beautiful open aspect location over the mountains of Cala Vadella. Dramatic grand stairways, antique imported doors and covered porches give this garden has a little of everything special. Specimen Strelitzia plants were given pride of place on the main terrace with a specimen Olive tree centrally positioned in an especially constructed sunken terrace garden. Many of the existing mature trees were kept in position or reincorporated into the design in other locations. New Olive terraces were constructed to make the most of natural protection planting against the windy open aspect. The existing fruit garden was maintained and extended to include Apricot, fig, lemon, orange and Pomegranate. A simple but effective railway sleeper trail was constructed through the secret areas of the garden. Although the house has a full tourist licence, the owners have decided to keep their private paradise for themselves.
CAN Nikolic
The owners of this beautiful traditional house wanted to achieve as many flowers in their garden as possible whilst still enjoying a calm atmosphere. Many of the numerous incompatible plants were gifted to friends and replaced by more subtle varieties. The trick with this garden redesign was to convince the owners that less is more, and to stick rigidly to a small number of plant varieties and colors. Extensive new block planting creates large expanses of color that are continued through the season. Different varieties of the same plant can extend the flowering season. Coloured leaves rather than short term flowers offer all year round interest.
CAN DRAGO
A simple country house was transformed into a luxury four bedroom villa with additional guest annex. The tourist license has now turned this house into a very successful business venture for the owners. Speed was the essential factor to make it in time for Easter holiday season time. The house is beautifully blended into a completely redesigned natural garden with many varieties of subtle flowering shrubs and trees. An easy to manage garden that needs only the one gardening visit between clients each week was mature in a short time. The essence of this garden is it’s simple calm atmosphere where complete privacy from neighbours has been achieved.
